Homemade Pizza Bagels: Complete List Of Ingredients
Making this bagel pizza will require simple ingredients that you surely already have in your pantry, but the beauty is that you can experiment with so many flavors.
Plain bagels
You can use homemade ones, but even the ones you buy at the local grocery store are perfect for this quick meal.
I used the classic plain white bagel, but any kind of bagel is fine.
Tomatoes
I used cherry tomatoes instead of pizza sauce for a unique sweetness.
I wanted to repurpose my favorite pizzas in Italy.
To make air fryer pizza bagels use your favorite pizza sauce if you don’t have cherry tomatoes.
Mozzarella cheese
It will make everything super stringy.
I used fresh mozzarella, but shredded mozzarella, provolone or cheddar cheese is also good.
Pizza Toppings
I added mushrooms, but you can be creative here with ingredients such as peppers, olives, ham, artichokes etc.
With these pizza bagels you can recreate your favorite mini pizza at home.
Oregano
A proper pizza always has that sprinkling of oregano on top. You can use Italian seasoning if prefer.
How To Make Homemade Bagel Pizzas In The Air Fryer
Step 1
Preheat the air fryer for the best results.
Step 2
Chop the cherry tomato and season with salt, olive oil and oregano.
Cut bagel in half horizontally and place on a flat surface.
Start by adding about 2 tablespoons of cherry tomatoes on top of the bagel halves, add the mozzarella and then the mushrooms. Finish with a sprinkle of oregano.
Step 3
Place the bagels in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Cook for 5-6 minutes at 350 F degrees.
The pizza bagels are ready when the cheese is well melted and starting to brown to your liking.
Serve piping hot.
Bagel Pizza Topping Ideas:
Parmigiana
This is one of my favorites, perhaps because parmiggiana is one of my favorite dishes.
You’ll need tomato, mozzarella, eggplant and shavings of parmesan cheese.
Rucola
Tomato, buffalo mozzarella, arugula and parmesan cheese flakes.
Arugula is to be added at the end of cooking. A delicious bagel and perfect for an easy lunch in a busy day.
Tuna Bagel
Add to the classic tomato and mozzarella some tuna and onion. So good!
Bagel pizza pepperoni
Add some mini pepperonis – even spicy pepperoni slices are perfect for an extra touch.
How To Serve Pizza Bagels
These bagel pizzas are perfect for a quick lunch, but also for a party with friends or even a game night.
Make them with different toppings and mini bagels for a great appetizer.
Accompany them with these air fryer pepperoni pizza peppers or air fryer flatbread pizza for an evening of pizza-themed fun!
This pizza snack is a crowd pleaser.
Also perfect for a family dinner you can accompany them with wedge potatoes or a delicious salad.
Instead, for a kids’ party, use mini bagel bites. To make bagel bites that are smaller than regular bagels, so it will be easier for kids to eat them.
Pro Tip To Make Your Own Pizza Bagels
- Always check while cooking, as cooking time may change from air fryer models and air fryer brands.
- Don’t overfill bagels with toppings.
- If you prefer a crispier bagel you can air fry for a couple of minutes without any toppings on top.
- If you want to use some meat as a topping, I recommend cooking it first, since the cooking of this bagel pizza is quick.
- If you use a toaster oven air fryer, cook them in the middle rack.
Storage
In the fridge: These pizza bagels will keep fresh for three days in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
Reheat: To reheat you can put them back in the air fryer for a couple minutes. I do not recommend reheating them in the microwave
In the freezer: You can freeze them for up to two months, frozen in a single layer so they don’t stick together. Air fry them at 320 F degrees for about 6 minutes.

I am new to using the airfryer and am amazed at the outcome. My kids loved, loved these pizza bagels and I showed them how to make them for themselves. Yeah for me and thanks for a kid friendly snack.

So much better than store-bought! It has been my lunch every day this week. I have used different toppings every day (peperoni, sweet bell pepper, leftover lunch meat, just cheese). YUMMY!

Love that these are homemade rather than the frozen ones ready to eat so I can be in control of the toppings. Can't go wrong with mushrooms though, my favorite!
