Clean the sprouts by cutting off the ends and removing the outer leaves if needed.
Set a pot with water to boil. When it boils, add the salt and sprouts and let them cook for about 10 minutes. You can also microwave them if you prefer. Put the sprouts in a microwave-safe bowl, add half a cup of water, and let them cook for 4-6 minutes (check after a few minutes if there is enough water).
When they are ready, put them in a large bowl with water and ice to stop the cooking process. Drain them and dry them with a cloth.
Add the oil, spices, pressed garlic, and parmesan cheese in a small mixing bowl and mix well.
Smash the sprouts with the help of the bottom of a glass; in the meantime, preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 2 minutes.
Transfer the sprouts to the basket of the air fryer, being careful not to overlap them, and spread the oil mixture on top with a kitchen brush. Cook in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
After the 5 minutes have passed, turn the sprouts over with the help of kitchen tongs, spread the oil mixture on top again, and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes at 400 degrees F.
Serve with dips for a delicious finger appetizer.
