Making this pasta with ricotta reminds me of my childhood, my mom used to make it often especially in summer, because it is quick, no need to cook the sauce, but most of all full of flavor!
Cook pasta until al dente. In the meantime...
Mix together the ricotta, pasta water, Parmesan, basil, salt,pepper and lemon zest. Stir until well combined.
Add the cooked pasta to the ricotta mixture and mix well.
