There's nothing better than a homemade spaghetti sauce made with fresh, in-season tomatoes. The vibrant flavors you get from using ripe, locally-grown tomatoes can't be beat.
Bring a pot of water to a boil.
Slice the garlic garlic.
Wash the cherry tomatoes to remove any dirt then use a sharp knife to cut each tomato in hald
Heat some olive oil in a pan t. Add the garlic and cook until lightly browned. Then add the tomatoes, salt, pepper and basil. Continue cooking, allowing the flavors to blend.
Let the cherry tomatoes cook, and meanwhile cook the pasta al dente.
Mix the spaghetti with the sauce and stir well, add a cup of cooking water, and continue stirring.
