Wash the cabbage and dry it well. Cut it in half and remove the tougher central part. Cut it in half again so it will be easier to slice, and with a knife cut into strips
Finely chop the garlic and ginger. Pour the seed oil into a skillet and heat it over low heat. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for a minute to release the flavors.
Add the cabbage and the soy sauce, turn up the heat and saute for 5-7 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring often.
Adjust salt if necessary and transfer the cabbage to a serving dish. Serve the sautéed cabbage immediately.
