Bolognese Recipe


Bolognese sauce is a meat-based sauce that is perfect for spaghetti, lasagna, and other pasta dishes. Try our recipe and taste the authentic flavors of Italy!


Carrots Celery Onions Pancetta (bacon) Mince beef Tomato puree (passata) Bay leaves Basil leaves Red wine Broth  Salt & black pepper Extra virgin olive oil


What You Need:

Prepare the soffritto

In a large pot cook the soffritto.

Add the beef and cook for about 10 minutes.  Add the wine and let it evaporate.

As soon as the wine has evaporated, add the passata, mix well and turn the flame down to a low level.

Cook  for a minimum of three hours over low heat. .

Use Bolognese sauce for lasagna or pasta.
